Nelson House at Blythe Valley Park, Solihull, is a £5 million commercial headquarters with Kingspan KS1000XD composite deck and Icopal 1.2 mm TPO single-ply membrane across four flat roofs and three metal roofs. Our five-day on-site survey uncovered long-term moisture entrapment beneath the TPO membrane, previous non-compliant rubber tile overlays that had voided the original warranty, and areas of active water ingress.
We delivered a prioritised five-year planned maintenance programme — from immediate targeted repairs and localised liquid encapsulation through to medium-term core sampling and long-term full system upgrade options — giving the client a clear, costed roadmap to protect their asset.

Vanguard Waterproofing was founded by Stephen Day and Paull Newsome — two flat roofing specialists who’ve spent over two decades solving the problems that other contractors leave behind.
We started this business because we kept seeing the same thing: wrong systems specified for the building, corners cut on installation, no documentation, and clients left holding the risk when things went wrong.
